DIY Nail Tutorials

A fresh coat of nail polish is probably the easiest and quickest way to freshen up a look. That's why I'm always looking out for new ideas, tutorials, and color collections each season. Yesterday, while scouring through my Pinterest account  I came across {www.phsiiit.com} a site that is filled with step by step nail tutorials, that are easy to do at home. Check out their site, you won't be disappointed. All the tutorials can be found here.

In the Kitchen

My husband and I currently rent a townhome and even though I love the actual space I'm looking to add a glamourous touch within the limits of being a renter. I ran into these pictures of Erika's kitchen today and thought this could be a possibility for ours, since its almost exactly the same, white cabinetry, white appliances and gray walls. The great part about lighting is, it's not permanent so it's a great option for you renters out there who want to glam up your spaces.

Also, you can check out Erica's blog here. She's a graphic designer and has an inspirational home with unique touches that you'll definitely enjoy.

Rainy Day Hairstyles

The weather today is gloomy where I'm at (a city north of Atlanta). Actually not only is it gloomy it has all of the characteristics for a bad hair day, humid and rainy. Since my hair is naturally curly a little humidity can turn it into a frizz ball in an instant! So today I look to hairstyles like these to hide/cover up all those frizzies. With this loose bun or tight ponytail and a some good 'ol hairspray those frizzies won't be making an appearance today.

Buttoned Up

I can't help but notice how a button up shirt is timeless, diverse, and extremely elegant. Paired with jeans, skirts, or trousers it can make any outfit look pulled together.

Monday Work Wear Inspiration

Even though Monday's are by far my least  favorite day of the week, I somehow get motivated for the week ahead when I have great looking outfits to look forward to. So in the midst of your Monday blue's let me inject a little happiness into your wardrobe.

Seeing Red

Even though I'm in my mid-twenty's (actually closer to my 30s but who's counting) I still enjoy dressing up according to whatever holiday or event is going on. With Valentine's day (one of my favorite hallmark holidays) right around the corner I'm thinking about different ways to dress up. I usually always go safe with pink elements in my outfit and a red lip for Valentine's day but after seeing some of these pictures I definitely want to go for the "oh-so-daring" red! Some of these outfits incorporate red in a big way, some just have a hint of it. Since I'm still trying to decide which way to go I'd thought I'd share all of my options.

Spotted: Jewelry Storage

Earlier this week I decided I needed an aesthetically pleasing and convenient place for my everyday/work  baubles. I took on a relatively simple DIY project. Basically I just took one of my plain white ceramic bowls from my kitchen and painted a few gold dots on it! It really was that simple. With the Martha Stewart paint I used the dots were dry in less than an hour (though for safety I let it  stand overnight).

Once dry I placed my jewelry in my bowl and put it on my vanity, so far - so good. I really think gold on anything gives it a bit of a glamorous feel. Hope you enjoy.
